CONTRACT AGREEMENT:
The signature attached here, between workshop contractee: __________________________ and Ayo Handy-Kendi c/o African American Holiday Association (AAHA) Presenter/Contractor which constitutes a contractual agreement between the parties to host/provide a workshop/demo/story performance to the public within the conditions stated and agreed upon, under the agreed upon honorarium commitment/sliding fee or waiver.
The presenter is not responsible for anything not implied in this agreement, and is responsible to carry forth the services to the best of his/her ability. Only under extreme weather conditions, meriting that the participants would be at risk, can this presentation, as scheduled, be canceled. Any other cancellations on the part of the presenter/contractor would constitute a breach of contract. Cancellations on the part of the contractee, 1 week prior to the workshop, without a legitimate excuse, like extreme inclimate weather (a hurricane, snow blizzard or natural disaster, rain not considered nor facility repair) would thereby constitute a breach of contract on the part of the workshop contactee. In such instance, honorarium/ sliding fee payment to the presenter will be still due in part at 50% to organization, for setting aside the date. AAHA further reserves the right to decline to fulfill the service contract, if stated conditions of the presentation have been changed, altered or not truthfully represented, i.e. stated WAIVER requests indicates a small intimate grassroots group of 25, but 150 people in a corporate setting show up.
