PRESENTATION:  AVOIDING HOLIDAY STRESS SYNDROME for HOLIDAY STRESS MANAGEMENT

AAHA has a long track record in connecting the dots between culture, wellness and holidays, celebrations and rituals.  A people who do not celebrate themselves, do not know themselves, therefore, culturally misappropriate other peoples' holidays which decreases their mental health.  Ayo Handy-Kendi, founder of AAHA and Black Love Day, Feb. 13th, saw this connection in the 80's and today fosters a renewed movement for People of Color (POC's) to embrace themselves by understanding the 4 factors that elevate us, keep us mentally fit and economically empowered, using our own holidays, celebrations & rituals.
